Campaign Story

We, humans, have consumed and exploited Mother Nature to the extent of damaging it irreversibly in many aspects. While most non-renewable resources are far from being replenished, there’s still hope we could preserve some. To address the urgency of solving the plastic crisis, Fungi Wonder has introduced mushroom packaging as a sustainable solution to plastic pollution issues.

Mushroom Packaging

From packing fragile wine boxes to casing goods for shipment, you can use mushroom wrapping for every kind of packaging. Apart from wrapping goods, mycelium packaging can also be used for insulation, cushioning, and protective packaging of cosmetics and medications while traveling. And the fact that these packages can be customized to any shape, size, and dimension is a plus point of biodegradable packages.

Our biodegradable packaging containers are derived from mycelium, a branched root-like structure in most fungi responsible for its proliferation and providing nutrition. This vegetative part of the mushroom is better than styrofoam-based plastic bags and boxes in multiple aspects. These materials are lightweight, biodegradable, free of chemicals, sturdy when combined with sawdust, and resistant to flame and water. Furthermore, being a fungal byproduct, mushroom packaging is antibacterial and hence safe for food packaging.

Given the benefits to the consumer and their environment, mushroom packaging has already gained hype and attention from prospective buyers. We have already completed the initial phase of research and planning the project, but the limitation of funds has become one of the hurdles to bringing the product to life. Through GoWithFund, we call on investors, environmental agencies, and individuals to support our sustainable project. By contributing to mushroom packaging, you are contributing to the future of the upcoming generation and building a positive brand image for your organization.
